Remember Sequins?

Does anyone play with sequins anymore? I remember when I was little my grandma would give me sequins, felt and glue and I would be happy for hours! She played with sequins and made this gorgeous Christmas tree out of different shaped Sequins. I still have that and every year at Christmas gets hung up. On a trip to our cabin a while back, we stopped at Pamida and I walked the craft isle. I found this HUGE bag of different shaped Sequins! I grabbed them. I have never used them until last night when I wanted a real retro looking card! I wasn't overly thrilled with the colors I had used and I used a DP with dots that didn't show up the way I wanted it to. So SEQUINS popped into my head. Found the sequins and went to town! This pic does not do this card justice! It turned out great with the shiney sequins! The stamps is by Rubbernecker, one of my new ones I just got and I've been eyeing it for some time. Finally broke down and bought it!
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Domestic Goddess

Domestic Goddess by HannaStamps. I have loved this stamp set since I first saw it. So me! But I'm sure everyone can relate to cleaning! I used my water color pencils, first time I've actually had good results with them. Thanks to Mary-Jane and all her help! I think it turned out pretty good. I used black and grays, thought it looked more like dust! LOL The vacume actually is the same color as mine! Gotta love a Hoover! LOL

RAK!! From Susan!

I have to share what my Friend Susan sent me! How generous is that? Look at her card!! I love that card and when she showed it on her blog, had to put it on our group home page at SCCB! Then the sweetie sent it to me! On top of that, she sent me images! Images that I have ooh'd and ahhh'd over!! Then to put the frosting on the cake! She sent me Meet Me at the Cafe stamp set by My Favorite Things! Which she knew I loved to no end!! Wow, I just can't thank her enough for her kindness and thinking of me!! Thank you Susan!! You are the best!
Big hugz to you!

My Butterfly

This little guy is by Rubbernecker. He is my first butterfly!! I was again playing with coloring him. This photo does not do him justice! He sparkles and shimmers! I mounted him on 4 different colors of CS. Then he sat there! I had no idea what I was going to do with him! Every layout I tried didn't thrill me. Finally I scored a card front, just needed more. So went and dug through my Krenick Blending Filament and found the my braid and went to town poking holes and sewing. Its simple but yet I think adds just the right touches to show him off! A little bling in the corners. I just think he has the cutest face, or maybe its a her!
Thanks for looking!!!

Lola Rose and her Umbrella

Lola Rose and her Umbrella was completely backward card! I was looking at blogs and on Lauren Meaders blog she had a green/white/black card. Loved the colors. So I started playing around with the card colors first! Wasn't happy with my layout so I added the pink. Cut my triangle so off that I added the ribbon to it. Had no image in mind for it! So sitting and watching tv coloring Lola I used the colors in my card. Added a little bling to the card and I love it! I love the colors that just happened. Sometimes it pays to do things completely backwards and not put a lot of thought into it. Finished result...Bright and Springy!

Lily, Lola Rose's Sister

This is Lily! I am so proud of myself on this one, this is the first time EVER that I used prima's!! WOOOHOOO! I love flowers, in my garden! But I have a hard time putting them on a card! But I am really happy the way it turned out, so maybe since I've used them once, I can use them again and not be so intimadated by them!! LOL

Lola Rose

This is Lola Rose! I was trying to make a fold card and I goofed up. So I just added some extra scored lines and winged it! Not my favorite card but I love Lola Rose. It looks to boy for me. Needed Lola to be a little more pink! I liked the color of her outfit and the flower! Reminds me of spring time! Just the colors are kind of icky!! LOL

Happy Monday!

This is an accordian fold card I worked on this weekend. I followed a tut over at Scor-Pal web site and love it. Very easy to make with the SP for those crisp scored lines!! My DP has been sitting in my drawer forever and never knew what I wanted to do with it. Well I used it for the panels of the card. I had a hard time figuring out what to use as a center medalian. After 5 different idea's finally found the one I liked. The ribbon has to be slid off the card, but all the same I love the final resut! Its one of those cards you want to keep making! Now to figure out the envelope size!!
Hope every one had a Blessed Easter.

One Sheet Box

This is a One Sheet Box, using a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of cardstock and my Scor-Pal. What a fun box to make and I guess you could also add a handle to it if you wanted. I just left it plain being my first one. I plan on making others in the near future. I was playing around and was very pleased the way it turned out. I used my SU punch to punch out the pink and brown flower and my pink flower in the middle is by Hero Arts. Thanks for stopping by! hugz

FeelaBella

This is a card I recieved from my friend Danni today! Just love the colors and the Bella!! This really brightened up my day. So nice to have friends think of you! I tore the cartlidge away from my ribs and have been laid up just alittle bit. Besides not being able to breath very well! I'm getting the royal pitty deb treatment at SCCB!! Those gals are awesome!! Of course I can be a baby when I have an oui!! Danni made my day, forgot all about the pain when I opened the card!
Thank you so much Danni!! I LOVE this card!! Big hugz to you!!!

My Two Granddaughters...

Its hard to get all the kids together at one time with their busy schedules. But this was a great weekend and had both of my grand-daughters here. Mariah (6) and Reese (5 months) finally got to spend a little bit of time together today. They are cousins and had quit a bit of fun! Mariah could make her giggle and Reese watched every move Mariah made! It was a great day with both of them. Typical girls, very demanding of gramma's attention. Did gramma mind? Oh I don't think so! Loved every minute of it!!

Huggybella

This is a RAK image I recieved from my Bella Sistah Audrey. I had time to color tonight. I stitched around the side of the image with Krenick Blending Filament. I used my SU Paper Piecer to punch holes for my needle. It took a while, but well worth it I think. Takes me back to when I was small and you could buy these kits that you could sew. They had numbers and you would follow the number with needle threaded with yarn and you would get these great designs! Kitties, dogs, fish! I was going to put a flower on it, instead of my usual ribbon, but I just can't get into flowers yet. I look at all the cards on blogs that have them and they are gorgeous. Mine just don't seem to fit right. Might be the designs I'm using. Stamp is by StampingBella. One of my all time favorites.
Hope everyone had a great weekend like I did!
See you Monday!! hugz

My Inspiration...

Hanging out with a 6 year old makes you appreciate glitter just alittle bit more! This is a Gate Card I made. Using my CB and the brightest colors I could find! Glitter paper from my Christmas Glitter Pac! Stamp is by SU, one of my favs I just won off of ebay! I used stickles on the ice cream to add just a touch more Glitter!! LOL, It makes me smile and reminds me of a great weekend with Mariah!
Thanks for stopping by! hugz

Another Mariah Card!!

Here is her mommy's birthday card! She did all the coloring except I helped with the hair, and 1 shoe!! I tied the ribbon and put the stickles on to make it as sparlky as I could without using the whole bottle like she wanted to!! But didn't this turn out to cute!! I have to say...we had one stamping weekend and I had a blast! This is what its all about, being with those you love and just playing till your hearts content!! My heart is very content right now!

Mariah Paige Card

This is a card for her Daddy. Both her and I couldn't figure out why he had a green mouth, but she agreed, he must of eaten green eggs! She thinks this is such a funny card. She kept telling me that his hair did not look like this!! But this is what he looks like when he goes to work with his tools! She picked out all the colors and what she wanted to put on this awesome card! She is so proud of these cards!! Well....so is gramma!!

Best Weekend Ever!!

I just can't tell you what a great weekend I've had! My granddaughter Mariah came to stay over night yesterday and we stamped! She is a stamper in the making! Let me tell you, she can create a card in no time. She colored it all by herself, picked out colors and ribbons. We just had a great time. She talks 100 mile a minute and gramma was in her glory!! I'm going to show you just how talented my girl is! This card is for her mommy. Her mom is having a baby in July, she will have a brother and is very excited! She explained why she colored everything that color!! Pink shirt, her moms favorite color. Black pant and boots, thats the color she wears to work! She is carring a Coach purse!! LOL What a 6 year old knows!! LOL

Card from my Sistah Audrey!!

I have to say, this was one great mail day!! My Sistah Audrey sent me this gorgeous card along with some images of Best Friend Bella's!! I don't have that stamp and was thrilled to get them!!!
I can't wait to color them up! She is my adopted sistah for 3 months that I was paired with from Bellaholicsanonymous group. They couldn't of picked a better Sistah for me! We just hit it right off and I feel like I've known her forever!! Thank you Audrey!! I love my card and images!!
Mwah to my Sistah!!

Look what I recieved!!

You have to see this great card! This is from my good friend Cat! What a clever way to send a card! It is so cute! On the one side, St.Patricks Day, she used her cuttlebug and my favorite embossing folder!! Swiss Dots! She also used her Scor-Pal on the center band. And my guess, knowing Cat, used a Shamrock die for the clover! Talk about using every tool and making a wonderful card!! Then...on the other side of the card is Happy Easter!! Just the cutest bunny!! and she is in pink!! I love pink! Grass, flowers, bunny I know she used her dies again and created a very HAPPY card! On the inside it has Happy St.Patricks Day, Happy Easter, Happy Spring with lots of flowers and 4 leaf clovers stamped out!! This is such a Happy card!!!
Thank you Cat!! It made my day!! Love to you!! hugz

Finally..A Card

I finished my card. It only took 3 days! I had the image stamped out, colored it and then had to put it together. I love this set. The name is, Right at Home by SU. I've never done a panel layered card before and really had fun with it. I cased a card from Becca!
Thanks for looking! Hope you have a great weekend!! hugz

Look What came in the mail!!

WOOOHOOO!! Look what Ami sent me!! I love the card!! And all these images! I'll be coloring for awhile!! Thank you Ami, you are so sweet!!
hugz to you!!

No Stamping!

Well this has been a long week! I'd only been back to work for one week and I leaned over a steel table and tore the carlidge off my rib cage. So I am moving pretty slow and doing a lot of whinning! I can't even stamp, its my right side! I have images that I had stamped off and I can do a little coloring! The more I move my arm the more the ribs hurt. So I am at a stand still in life! LOL, Only good thing is, I cannot do ANY house work!! So I sit on the puter and hold my ribs! I tried sleeping in bed last night and that didn't work so good. Back to the recliner I guess. When I do heal, I have a lot of catching up to do!!! Another bad thing, not being able to stamp does not keep me from cyber shopping!!
Hope everyone had a great week and looking foreward to playing this weekend!!

Lola Rose

Another Lola Rose who went shopping! This can be me today! Did a little bit of shopping for some plain CS. The background paper I picked up on ebay clearence. I punched a slot for ribbon only to figure out afterwards that I couldn't get my punch in the correct way to make the other, So they are not lined up perfect. I used my Scor-Pal for the side and bottom scores. Thanks for looking!! hugz

Gate Folded Cards

I made these two Gate Cards today, I think this is my new favorite! The first one is Dad's Taxi by Pink Petticoat. I made this especially for a friends nephew who was in a car accident. I think it turned out real cute. The second one uses a SU stamp and is for another swap I'm in. The swap is called "Queen". We have one designated person that will draw a name every two weeks. The Queen then posts what she would like. We each fill her request with a little something. I just think this is such a great idea!!
Thanks for stopping by, and until next time...Which might be awhile. I go back to work tomorrow and my time is going to be limited. I hope I don't go through to much stamp withdrawl!! hugz

Meet Hennrietta

This is another design by Pink Pettiecoat. Isn't she cute! I used my SP making the criss cross scor lines. I had a boo boo in there but the ribbon covered it up so nice! LOL I wanted her to be bright and bright she is. I used my copics, for the first time on Hennrietta's face and feet. I need much more copic practice! LOL
Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone is having a great weekend! hugz

Lola Rose....

I am so ready for spring! I did Lola Rose up as bright as I could! I added lots of glitter and made glitter strips down her outfit. Not sure if they show up or not. I use my SP on the edges of the card and had the little flowers for the border, Studio G. I think she turned out about as springy as you can get! Thanks for stopping by! hugz

StickerBook Cover

As many of you know, My Grandson Ethan is ADHD. He is on a sticker program and I thought I would make some StickerBook Covers! I followed a tutorial by Rochelle at Scor-Pal projects. I had to do some altering to accomadate the size of the packaged sticker. I also had to piece the front flap in length. But I think it turned out great and I love it! Again, I used my Scor-Pal for the folds, nice and crisp! Thanks for stopping by! hugz
