Very Bright!

This card took me forever! I recieved the cute penguin stamp as a gift from Loreen. Isn't he cute! I knew I had to do him up good. Make him look like summer and fun! I'm not sure who he is by, not doing good in the memory dept today! This card is layered and layered. Totals 7 layers on the card! I cut each square out of my NEW square nesties. Added the dots, sponged some ink, the little flowers in the 2 small panels are by Studio G. Ribbon is from Stamping Bella. This was a fun card to do. If you've never been to Stamping with Markies Mom, I suggest you go and check her blog out. The link is on the side of my blog. She just does awesome work with the dots and colors! Breathtaking really!! So this card is "cased"! My colors are not even close how she can bring her colors to life.
I did have fun with this one, it's the dots that take forever! You don't want them to smear so you have to let them dry before you go on!
Thanks for looking.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!

A Bee in my Bonnet

Playing the other day, well practicing my coloring! I can not remember for the life of me who this stamp is by, but I know it is cute! I think the most fun I had with this card was coloring it. I had all this in my "pieces" folders, so just used what I had. I think it turned out real cute, nice and bright! I made the wings sparkle! and used my Prisma's to color the girls!

Poo Happens?? You bet!

How funny is it when your making a card with poo, it goes together so easy! LOL
I love the poo happens stamp! I bought this about a month ago, It is by Stampendous. How cute is it! Love that saying, I think we've all said it the nice way one time or another! The lady holding her nose, I think by 100 Proof Press. Great Retro designs there! I used my square nestie scallops on behind the images and then used my little tiny nestie squares to put behind the dew drops. Ribbon from stash! safety pins by Making Memories (I think!) DP by Bo Bunny! I'm sure all us moms can relate to plugging our nose a few times. Those new babies don't always smell like Johnson's!!! But most of the time they do!
Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone is having a great day.

Lily-I Love Shopping

I love Rachel Ann Miller Designs, especially Lily! This is just how I imagine every little girl!
Yesterday, after my flight down 4 feet on my face! I fell off the deck! LOL, I was one hurtin unit! My hubby is painting the house. We have a deck on the back and he took off part of the railing so he could paint. I told him to at least just sit it back up so Jeff, our oldest cocker, wouldn't fall off the ledge, it is a 4 feet drop to the ground! So like a good husband, he places it there, for Jeff! We are out enjoy the morning having coffee and we start talking about a cloths line, nothing better than hanging your sheets on the line! Then we talked about to many trees, birds, no doo on my sheets! Then he tells me about the trees in the front and how the birds flock in those trees. Sooooo, stupid me, walks right over to the railing and leans on it to look in the front yard....well, you know what happened, SPLAT! Nothing broke but I have some nasty bruising! I'm just to old to do that! LOL But now I can at least laugh about it! So, last night aching, I decided to set up the card table in the living room and sit and play! I think Lily turned out great. Its a flap card, I want to make the flap round but didn't have anything to cut a 5 1/2 in circle! I do, but with all my "stuff" I completely forgot about it. Maybe its time to quit buying! LOL I used my Fiskars Treading Water border punch on the flap. Paper, I can't remember where I bought it! Flowers are Prima's. I used my Prisma's to color and I just love the way the colors blended together. I think I might be catching on to coloring with them. Now...I have to tackle the copics! Scary!!
Hope everyone is having a great week!! The weekend is almost here!!

Georgina Glamourpuss

This is another one of my favs from Stamping Bella. I just think she is adorable!
I used my fiskears border punch, cuttlebug with swiss dots, and a few dew drops. Ribbon of course, bought at JoAnn Fabric, $1 bin! This card opens from the side. I tried something different and angled the image and border. Really happy with the results!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my blog! I love knowing that you enjoy being here!

Happy Neighborhood!

This stamp is also by Stamping Bella and I LOVE THIS STAMP!! I have this thing about houses! The house I live in now, when I was very little, like 2-6, I lived just down the street! I remember my house I live in. I always liked the front door! LOL, Well years later, maybe 15 years later, the couple that lived her passed away and there was an auction. I collect antiques and went to the auction with my parents. I bid, and won quit a bit of furniture. Well 20 years after that, the furniture has come full circle and its back in it orginal home! I love my house and there is a comfort here that I've never felt before! Must be knowing this house almost my whole life.
So maybe thats why I love house images! I don't know, but I do know I love coloring them any color I want!
So thats the story of my house!

Coaster Box

This is the first coaster box I have made and love these! I thought this would be cute for my grandson to keep his markers or colors in. One side has SuperJayden the other, SuperTyler, from Stamping Bella. They are so cute! The cs I had in my stash, as usual, have no clue to company! The only problem I had was the bottom! The next one I make I am going to measure up with the bottom while I tie the sides. I didn't do that on this one. But overall, not bad for the first time!

Some Stamping Bella....

Goodmorning! Well I was thinking of trying out for a Design Team member and decided against it. Not because I wouldn't love it, I just don't think I have the time and I didn't think I could commit to a contract for the amount of time asked. That would be unfair and put me under fire! With my groups I run, I really need to concentrate on those. And of course my life! LOL So I thought I would share what I made.
This is a note card box, I cannot remember where I found the tutorial, but when I run across it, I will post it. I added 4 note cards to the inside. My daughter wants this for invites for a bridesmaid pool party! Yup, that would be perfect!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

New Group!

Yesterday talking to Diana Crick, the famous creator of the Scor-Pal! She is starting up a online store called Magnolia-icious! Selling those oh so cute Magnolia stamps! I asked her if she thought a yahoo group would be good and she said AWESOME!
So there is a new yahoo group in town, waiting for you to join! We are going to discuss everything from start to finish on your Magnolia creations! She just recently took a copics class and is excited to share her tips and tricks!
I don't have a date for the grand opening but I do know its soon! Of course I will keep you posted on that. But come on over!
I have added the direct yahoo button to the group on the side.
Hope everyone had a great week, and looking forward to Summer tomorrow!!

Hello...

This card was a trial and error for me, and it actually turned out the way I had it pictured in my head! This is a new stamp that I bought off ebay from Stampitcrazy. I think I have bought a few others from her, and they are great stamps! They ink up perfect! The rubber is blue, one of my favorite colors! LOL
I'm terrible at taking pics, so this one looks real shiny. The cs is Bazzill and its just gorgeous! This was fun to do, I like it when my head and hands work together!

My Tri-Fold card

This is a tri fold card, first one I ever made and I was very happy with the way it turned out. Again I used the great dp I recieved in my June Kit from Loreen at Wish on a Scrap. The image is another Hero art design. I love those posies! They come in a set of 4 and there is not one I don't like. Easy to color, maybe thats why I like them!

Sunny Day...

This is a double gate fold card. My designer paper is from the June kit at Wish on a Scrap online store. What a great kit this month. I love it when someone picks my paper out for me and it alls goes together! Make it so much easier, for me! Sometimes I wonder if I have any color concept at all! The image is by Hero Arts. The image was a gift to me from Mary-Jane. I just tied it together with a ribbon. Cute little card, would be cute to fit in one of my 4x4 boxes too!
Thanks for stopping by... and Happy Monday!

Another 5 in 1 box

This box is alittle different than the other. I punched out my own flowers for the top with my SU punch and added a pastel beads I had to the centers. The ds is from daisey D's collection and the other is Bazzill Bling. I've never had any of that before and I love it!! This is from a kit I ordered at WishonaScrap.com.

I love the way this one turned out also!

Flood

As most of you know, we had flooding in SE MN yesterday. Of course not as bad as Cedar Rapids, but our Cedar River flows right to them. We are on a hill so the water comes up just a short way. In back of us is Queen of Angels Church, totally flooded. Along with many homes through out the city. I wasn't one of the joy seakers out driving yesterday, I could walk in my back yard and see enough. The photo is 1 1/2 blocks from my house. I'm standing on the bridge looking north. You can see how far the water is up to the bridge. The current was awful. I got off the bridge as fast as I got on there!

When I stood in my back yard, on the hill, this was my view. See the pavilion almost to the top!

3 houses away is the corner from my house. I'm standing in the middle of the street. Center, at the very end, is where the river is. Its a "T" intersection there and one of our main streets going through town. On the left is the Church and on the right is the park. Just over on the next block, they aren't as lucky as we are being on the hill. You heard pumps working all night long, trying to empty their basements. We flood about every 4 years. The worst being 2004.
Just thought I would show you what disaster we've had in town. My heart goes out to all the people, here and Iowa that have lost everything. You are all in my prayers.

5 in 1 Box

I've been working on this for a few days now. At SCS they have directions for this and I've always loved it! I bought the 5 in 1 template from SU a while back and just haven't played with it yet. Well here is my box, finally finished and 4 note cards to go inside. I decorated the lid with Swirls V:I by rhonna farrer. Ribbon is in my stash ribbon box! The sentiment stamps with flowers are woodmounted and by Studio G.
I love the way it turned out. When I first made the bottom of the box, the lid fit in it! I had to do some tweaking to make it the right measurements.
Cute little box and note cards for a gift!

Girly Girl

I made this card for my granddaughter Mariah. She is so girly girl, 6 years old, and she will love it. I used a new stamp set I got from Loreen at "Wish On A Scrap". Great deals if you join her yahoo group!! Also you can shop at her store, http://www.wishonascrap.com:80/ . This was one of the add ons in a kit she had for the month of June. Its by Gel-a'-tins called Best Friends. So cute of a set for little girls! I used colored cardstock in pastel colors and ran a sponge soaked in ink over the edges and then lightly ran over the whole cs. I cut the large circle out of my mega marvey punch and the small circle from my SU punch. The oblong are from my nesties. Dotted the edges with my black gel pen. The hugs and kisses is from Papertrey Ink.
Time to clean up for the night. Hope everyone had a great day... see you tomorrow!

Coffee Time...

A good friend of mine retired in April and we try to make it at least once a month for coffee. Dosn't always work, but we give it our best shot! I think she is more busy being retired than when she worked! I made this card for her to come for coffee. Its my turn so its my house or my treat out. Thought I would send this her way. I usually make some little card and send her at least once a month. This is a one sheet criss cross card. No wasted paper! I love it and so simple. You can catch the directions here... http://ie.youtube.com/watch?v=2z34rR55cNA&feature=related
remember, my link button dosn't work!! Easy tut and explained excellent!

Baby... Not ME!

Emily's girlfriend and her husband are going to have another Baby! Emily and Holly have been friends for years. They were always in trouble! And I'm not kidding! Dumb stuff but enough to drive a mother crazy! I remember Holly staying over night and me asking her, what do you want to do when you grow up? She said she wanted to be a beautician and have lots of babies! LOL, Well she is a beautician and she is on her second bundle of joy. She is just an awesome mom, I always knew she would be. So I made this card for m, to give to Holly. The tutorial for this cute onsie is on Lauren Meaders blog. The cute giraffe is a gift I got from my friend Loreen. I receieved it yesterday in my box of goodies! I fell in love with that little guy and just kept looking at him and thought of Holly. The "sweet" is by Papertrey Ink.
Just thought I would share my newest easy card!

Invitation Anyone?

Crusin around the blog world yesterday I ran across a card that I loved, loved the concept of it. You could order the kit for $25 but thought Oh, I can make that. Well 24 hours later! I had no idea what I was actually going to put on it. I call it "winging it"! My colored cardstock is getting low once again and went with a color I had enough of and a nice neutral color, still no idea's in mind. I found a ds in my stash and decided to go with the colors in the ds. I had my layout done and about 30 stamps sets down trying to figure out what to do! Well the mailman was late yesterday, usually we get our mail at 10AM and he didn't get here till after 3:30! I never check after 12 noon! My husband brings in a big box!! WOOOOHOOOO my goodies are here that I ordered from Loreen! Open it up and STAMP SETS!! I went with a pool/BBQ theme! So this is what the inside looks like....

This is the side view of the card. It has 2 5x5 (cut 5x10 and scored in the middle) panels on the end, and I cut the middle panel 6x5, giving it 1/4 inch overlap to tape to the inside of the folded front/back.

This is the front of the card, ribbon not tied so I could show you the front. I cut out my flap using my oblong nesties and punched slots on front and back to run my ribbon through. Only problem is when tied, part of my saying gets covered up. But I tried many ways to figure it out, and because of the weight of the card and the folded panels, I had to secure it, but also make sure it would open up more like a frame. I think it turned out great. I had a lot of fun making it so happy that my new stamps came yesterday!!

This is the front tied and ready to go...in a box! LOL Its so heavy! The flowers on the front I punched out with my SU flower punch, scored them, ran versa magic dew drops over the edges.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope everyone is having a great week!

Small double pocket bag

Last week a good friend sent me a double pocket bag and I love it. She got the pattern for it from SCS. She also sent me directions on how to make it! I have made a couple now but this morning I wanted to try a small one. I love to decorate the Christmas tree and usually find someway to make a bag or something for the lucky ones that get money as a gift. Well I decorated this one for a trial run. Turned out real cute and will hold the bill just perfect! You could also make them a little bigger for a gift card. I don't know how I would of managed without my SP!! Love that thing! The stamp is from SU So Many Scallops. I used my SU scallop punch to punch it out. The ric rak is something I had in my stash to make the handles and tie a little ribbon around it. A couple more of these and I will be done with my bags for Christmas!

Dreamsicle Anyone?

The tut for this came from a good friend and for the life of me I cannot find it and give the person credit. When I do I will post who the creator is. Isn't it to cute? It would make a great invite for a bunch of gals to get together poolside for a margarita! To bad I don't have a pool! But my daughter does, so maybe I can borrow it for a Saturday afternoon in the sun party! Super easy to make. Used my SU scallops punch for the "bite" and I found all these colored popcicle sticks at the dollar store! Matched my orange paper perfect! The image was a gift from Mary-Jane and I never knew what to use it on! Well it fits perfect! I ordered a stamp set off of ebay of summer fruit. Its a CTMH set. I thought it would be perfect having all the fruits on there and adding them to the card. Just have to pick up some inks to go with it.
I worked on many projects this weekend and actaully finished them! I will post them to my blog later. Right now I have an explosion box in the making. Never made one before and me and my bright idea's tried something a littl different and now I have to figure out what to do with my sides! I hate that when I think of a "great" idea and it just causes more work for me! Oh well, if thats all I have to worry about, life is good!
Thanks for stopping by and visiting!

Woof Woof Good Dog!

I made this card watching the stupidest movie. My husband loves wierd shows and this one rates right up there with all the rest! Snakes on a Plane, has anyone seen this movie?? BAD!! But the cards cute!! The dog and his house are from PinkPetticoat called Home Sweet Home, its one of their newest releases. The Good Dog stamps, are called "Dogs" from Inkadinkado. I made the card 5x5. I added some brads and corners I punched out from SU punch. I stamped the background with doggie foot prints. I'm going to give this to my grandson next time he comes for a visit, mabye with some dog stickers inside.

Miss LadyBug

I colored her a couple of nights ago. I had my circles cut out and dotted but I just couldn't get it to look right. So I went for the rectangle nesties. The Ladybug is by Rubbernecker and I thought she was so cute. Reminds me she might be on her way to church. No bling, just added some red ric rak I had in my ribbon stash.

Doodle This...

I think this is one of my most favorite stamp sets from SU. I love this stamp set. I have never used the swirly design stems before nor the other flower! I have made quit a few of the big flower though and love it. So last night I was watching TV and dug out my copics! I never play with them, they intimidate me to death! But I did color the big purple flower with them! I love the way the blend together but I don't have that many pretty colors yet! Mostly camo! I need to do some frogs or toads!
I stamped the swirl on to the cardstock and then attached my flowers. I love how bright it is. I could of used some ribbon maybe, but I like it the way it is.
Now I do have to clean up my mess!!
Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone has a safe and fun weekend!

More Flowers!

Oh this was so fun to color and put together! I love these flowers and the little pots that go with the set. This is from the Doodle Garden set from Pink Cat Studio. I colored them with my prisma's. I cut out each one, time consuming job! and mounted them on the oblong nestie panels. I think this is such a bright card! No bling! LOL, I'm so use to bling, and I did try a few things, but liked it better just plain. I have to play with this stamp set more. There are 22 stamps that come with this plate! Flowers, leaves, stems, flower pot, butterflies!
Thanks for looking, now to clean up the mess!

Flowers!

I recieved my new stamp set yesterday from Melissa at Pink Cat Studio! I was so excited. Its the Doodle Garden Plate 1 and I love it! I also added the kitty with the watering can, also from PCS. I haven't been into flowers, only in my garden, but I'm into them now! I love them! Maybe because I have more coloring options, markers, crayons, prisma's, copics and colored pencils. I still need a lot of practice but I have fun! I just added some dew drops and dc is from CTMH.
Hope everyone had a great week and TGIF!!

YooHoo!!

This is YooHoo by PinkPetticoat! Isn't she fashionable?!! This is the first owl I have done! I think she turned out cute. These ovals in the background I had cut out a few days ago and added my dots. They were for another image I had done. When I started working on it I just couldn't get it the way I wanted it. So today I was trying again and picked up YooHoo and I liked that much better! So, back to the drawing board trying to figure out what to do with my other image!
Thanks for stopping by and leaving all the nice comments on my blog! I really appreciate it and enjoy reading what everyone has to say!

Tweet Wishes

This is Tweet by PinkPetticoat. I colored her with my jelly roll pens, she is BIRGHT! Then I added my dots! I love the way this turned out. And the bummer of it is, I have a black smear of my black ink on the white. I tried my best to cover it up with my White Pen, but I didn't want to really make a mess so I left it as is.
I'm not crazy about my jelly roll pens, they're just to thick and globby! But they do look good when you want something to stick out and be center! They make great dots! LOL

Hennrietta...

Ahhh, Meet Hennrietta! Isn't she cute and BIG! This is from PinkPetticoat and I've had her for awhile. I have done her a few times before but wanted to my "dots" on her. I used my swiss dot embossing folder on the background and again did the dots around my oval nesties and my oblong nesties. I love the yellow, orange and browns together. The card weighs a ton! There is 6 layers on part of the card!

Sherriff Ethan

Oh my Gosh was he fun to do!! This is Billy by Pink Cat Studio. I played with him like paper dolls! I had this great sheet of cardstock, its like a suede and just yummy! I've had it in my stash forever! I rememeber where I got it and they are out of business and not sure if I've seen anything like it since then! I cut his hat. boots and pony head out of the same cardstock and I used Krenick blending filiament and made the mane for the horsey's head and the band on his cowboy hat. I pierced holes for the rope and again used my krenick blending filament. I added rhinestone stars for his spurs and belt buckle and cowboy hat. Colored him with my prisma's and added white dots to his kerchef with my White Opaque pen. The ribbon came in a kit I orderd and every other lace, pierced a hole for a brad. The Sheriff Star was generated in my graphics program and I put my grandson's name on it! I had so much fun with him!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!
