Mariah's Birthday Card

Its hard to believe August 7th will be my first grandchilds birthday. I remember the day she was born. I remember how excited I was! After she was born, everyone was tired or shell shocked and I was the first one to feed her. It was a very long labor! I remember taking her in my arms and talking to her and telling her how special she was and all the things we were going to do together. At 2 weeks old, I took Mariah to meet her great gramma and grampa. 250 miles her and I drove. She was perfect! We stopped once for a feeding, she loved to ride! Mariah stayed with gramma every other weekend for one year. It turned out Mariah was very colicy! I figured mommy and daddy needed a break from sleepless nights. Of course colicy or not, she was perfect to me! She will be celebrating her 7th birthday! Where does the time go? We still have so much fun together. I don't get to see her as much as I would like now, they grow and get involved in dance, swimming, soccer and have their friends. But the times we do spend together are so special! Oh, and she loves to stamp with gramma!! She is really good too! LOL
I had to make a card that was extra special for her on her Golden Birthday. The card is 5 1/2 x 5 1/2. This is Tilda with the balloons. Background paper is by DaisyD. I punched the green and pink (Bazzill cs) with my MS border punch. Dew drops on the side The large jeweled brads are by Heidi Swapp. Flowers by Prima. The 7, I'll get back to you on that, for the life of me I can't remember who its by, but they are fantatic! Almost everything came in the June or July kit from WishOnAScrap. Tilda with balloons by Magnolia Stamps. I colored her with my Prisma's and goo gone. I always paint the wings with So Soft fabric paint by DecoArt and a tiny paint brush!
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my creations!

Purse and note cards

This tutorial for this little purse and 3 note cards came from No Time To Stamp. This went together so fast and end result is so cute! I used paper from the June kit from WIsh on A Scrap. The great rhinestone brads are from the July kit! The stamp on the cards are from Danni, TAC DivaDresses. The flower embellies were gifts from Audrey.
This was so fun to do!
Hope your having a great weekend!

Ethans Birthday Card

August is a month for birthdays in my family! So I thought I might just get a head start on some of them. The hardest are the "boy" cards! My grandson Ethan, will be 6 in August and he's at the age where it can't be to cute, and can't be to not cute! LOL So I found a Edwin stamp, from Magnolia, and started coloring. Then trying to think of what to do with him, I had a window and curtain, I colored that up! I found old old dp in my stash and found the blue with stars, put that behind the window. The background Pine paper, is another oldie I had in my stash! I used my sizzix dies for the border, puppy and truck. Went together just like I wanted!

Recipe Card Box

I started this project a couple of weeks ago, I made the box and kept forgetting to buy my 4x6 recipe cards. Finally I picked some up so I could finish it! This was so easy and the end result is great. I found the tutorial for it here at
No Time To Stamp The dark red dot dp is by BoBunny. The paisley paper I have had and I think I got it off of ebay. I cut my toppers for the recipe cards at 1 1/2 inches. I wanted them a little longer on the card. I attached the tabs with a red staple. Generated Recipe off my graphics program and used my SU punches for the circle tag. Menu came from Clear Art Stamps "Kitchen Classics"!
This would make another great gift! You could do this up so many ways, not just for recipes! Easy tut if you want to try it yourself!!
Thanks for stopping by, and HAPPY FRIDAY!!

Tilda with the BIG Floppy Hat!

Well, Tilda with the Big Floppy Hat is a story in herself! First, don't look for Tilda with the Big Floppy Hat stamp! You won't find her, anywhere! LOL A friend of mine, Denise, sent me some images of Tilda Stamps, until my order comes in. Last night looking through my images, this one caught my eye! I loved her hat with flowers! And how cute she was holding the strings that tie her bonnet on! I set everything up, Prisma's, googone, blending stump and started coloring. When I got to the lower right corner of her bonnet, I had a hard time figuring out the fine detail so I went on a hunt to find a finished Tilda with Floppy Hat! I searched and searched every blog I could find that had Tilda's with the hat. There wasn't a one anywhere! Well, you know why there was no Tilda with a Floppy Hat?? Because its not a floppy hat at all, its a garland jump rope! To late for me, already colored and lookin cute! So I continued with her and I love her! I think this is one of my favorites! Maybe because I think it is so funny! I love the turquois and lavanders together. My background paper is just some I had in my stash, I liked it because it just wasn't a flat turqouis, it has white in it. I used my swirls embossing folder. The corners are cut using my Architectual Accents Sizzix Dies. I used just a white cs on those and then used my dewdrop inks and blotted color on them. My swirl bleached chipboard is from the July Kit from Loreen. Also in the kit were these great rhinestone brads that I LOVE! I used my crop-a-dile to punch holes out and added the brads. Each flower (Primas) also have a brad in the center. Ribbon, where else? JoAnn Fabric in the $ bin! I used my oval nesties for the ovals and lightly went around the edges with my sponge daubers.
If anything, I had the best time with this card! We all see the world in a different way! I guess mine is hats! LOL
Hope everyone has had a great week! One more day till the weekend!

RachelAnnMiller

I colored her up last night. I didn't know for sure how the mushroom was going to turn out but, never colored one before. I used my prisma's and googone, one of these days I might shock you and say I used my copics, but don't hold your breath! LOL I just dug around in my bits and pieces and put her together. I think the colors are fun.

First Ever Tilda

Okay truth, this is the first Tilda I ever did! The tree swing is also by Magnolia. The fence I had, and can't remember right off who it is by. I like the card, but its sooooo blah! Need MORE, but right now I have no idea what my more consists of. I have it sitting out all the time, just in case I get a brainstorm!
This is a Tuesday confession!

Tilda with Bow!

Red is my favorite color! This is an image I recieved from a friend of mine. I wanted the background in big dots, so i made my own using Shapes by Desing by Papertrey Ink using SU ink. I colored her with my Prisma's and GooGone and used my Treading Water border punch by Fiskars. Flowers are Prima's.
This card is really bright, but not my usual pinks/greens/turqouise!!
Have a great day!

HomeSweetHome

I finally figured out, If I don't post my cards soon as I make them, I forget! Not to mention I forget most of what I used on them!
This is on of my favorite Tilda's! Someone said it looked like she was sitting at Gramma's house! The couch is by Alottarubber Stamps. This couch has got to be the coolest ones I've seen! There is a chair also, but this Tilda is a little larger than most Magnolia stmaps with Tilda or Edwin sitting. I colored her with my Prisma's and GooGone. Used my scalloped nesties for the rug and HomeSweetHome, which i just wrote in. The flowers, I cannot remember who they are by! The lace "mop board" is ribbon out of the $ bin at JoAnn's.
Thanks for stopping by!

Edwin Sitting

I really like how the shading came out on Edwin. I love his little brown dungaree's! I used my oval nestie to cut him and green oval out and my Vintage Photo Distressed ink to rough up the white and I also used it on the green cs, I wanted it to look darker. The cs background paper was in the June kit from Loreen. The buttons are bleached chipboard from BoBunny, also in the June kit. I added brads where I thought I needed "more" LOL!
I just think he is so cute sitting there!
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!

Thank you Danni!!

Queen!

At SCCB every two weeks we pick a Queen for a two week reign! This has been my two weeks and have been showered by great images from my Friends. This is from Mary-Jane and Sandy! LOOK at all this great stuff! I can't wait to start coloring! Told you my mailman had been good to me!! Thanks girls!! LOVE IT!

My Thursday Cased Card!

I figured out finally today, you do NOT cruz the blog world before you get your shower over! Sipping my coffee this morning, looking at my blogs, I ran across a card by Lynette that I fell in love with! So the rest is history now. I made my own background with Swirls V:I by rhonnna farrer. I wasn't crazy about the starkness of it, so I found some vellum that I layed over the front of the card. I think I'm so use to layering that the card looked "naked" without something more on it! Then I cut the squares out of my nesties and centered everything up with my TH ruler! Used my SU punch for the sentiment and ribbon is by StampingBella. I still love black and white!!
Thanks for looking at my creations!

Tilda Sits!

This is an image I recieved from Denise yesterday in my goodie box! I love this Tilda, that bow in her hair is the best!! I colored her with my Prisma's using GooGone for blending. I really like the GooGone! I tried baby oil but wasn't as happy with the results, although it smelled better! LOL I used my square nestie to cut out the center of the card, took yellow carstock, embossed and lightly colored with my prisma's. The frame border is from the July kit from Loreen. I used Distressed Ink to color the frame, frame is by BoBunny. They are called Bleached Chipboard. The flowers are from my friend Denise that I got in my goodie box yesteray, along with the velvet brads! Are those ever cool! Ribbon is from my stash! I put demensions behind Tilda so she could actually sit on the frame. CS, stash stuff!
Thanks for stopping by, hope everyone is having a great week!!

Tilda

This is my first Tilda by Magnolia Stamps. I really thought coloring them would be difficult but it was easier than I thought! These little angels are so cute. I ordered 6 of them from Diana who will be opening her online store the end of July. I think when you fall in love with a theme of stamps, picking the first one is hard! So you end up buying the stamps you can't live without! The background paper was in the July kit from Loreen at Wish On A Scrap. Talk about a great kit! I was in love the minute I opened it up. I almost hated to use the paper! DP is by Fancy Pants Designs. Chipboard swirl is by BoBunny. Flower are Sprites by Prima.
The buttlerfly button, and other buttons, in my button tin! I colored Tilda with my Prisma's with GooGone.
Thanks for looking and hope everyone has a great week!

TeaBag Holder

This is a TeaBag Holder note card. I found the tutorial here.. Paula Goff Its so simple and such a cute little card to enclose with a note to someone.
Her directions are very easy to follow. I just used some scrap designer cs I had in my stach and my SU punch for the scalloped band that goes around it. I would of put tea bags in there, but the only kind I have are without the packaging!
Thanks for looking!
hugz

CD Cube Box

The minute I saw this I knew I NEEDED to make one! Diana Crick sent the link to
Scor-PalPals Yahoo group. Julie Griffith has a wonderful YouTube video on her site to make this! There is no way anyone could walk you through this! You have to see the video!!
I wanted mine to have a kitchen theme. So I dug out my Clear Art Stamps. I used two sets from there and just love them! My kitchen is in red and white so I went with a red and white theme, which was so easy with the cherries! I stamped the background with the cherries and colored them in with my Prismas and GooGone. The Menu, Tea and Recipes were generated on the computer, leaving enough room at the top to stamp my cherry border. I used 4x6 recipe cards, cut down to size for the Tea and Coffee side.
The base I still want to work on. I would like the base to be "waterproof" so thinking of some thing to use or make for that purpose. Being in the kitchen and water spills can be a threat to any kind of paper!
Thanks for looking and hope everyone has a great weekend.
