Craft Kitty kitty kitty!

This is my other image of Craft Queen that I was letting the bling dry yesterday! It was the turquoise stickles that took so long! I had so much fun with this one too! I love the color! Notice her outfit matches her eyes! LOL The card is 5x5. I wanted it a little bit bigger to get more bling on it. I have no idea where the paper came from. Most paper, I really don't pay attention to who makes it, if I like it, I pick it up! I do know it was at the bottom of my cube drawer so I have had it for awhile! The ribbon is by Offray. Such a rich color! Flowers are Prima's. I use my nesties to cut out my scalloped rectangle and ovals. Lots of bling, stickles, jewels and dew drops in the upper corner. I used my prisma's to color her. The edge is punched with my Fiskars Threading water punch.
I had so much fun working on these two Craft Kitty's..by Pink Cat Studio!
You really should stop over and look at Melissa's great stamps! Great selection and she also has some new releases coming out in June! No, I do not work for her, nor do I do anything for her business, Just one, more than happy customer!!

My New Header...

Well what can I say? I have a graphics program that is totally ignored! Tonight I was feeling "young" and thought okay, we are going wild! Thats about the extent of my wildness! LOL Over the years I have collected tubes for my graphics and tonight trying to make a nice classy header for my blog and searching endless disks for just that right look, I came across this tube. And then I was lost in playing and decided to make a few things to go with it and this is what I ended up with. Its my inner youth screaming to come out!! Oh I know we all have it somewhere deep inside, we just don't let it surface! Its bright, its funny and its totally me about 25 years ago!!
So thats my story and I'm sticking to it!
Hope everyone has a great evening!!

Craft Kitty

This is Craft Kitty by Pink Cat Studio. Isn't she a cutie! This is the first time I have inked this stamp up! I kept looking at all those little tiny space to color and couldn't imagine I could even begin to do it justice! Dug out my prisma's and gamosol and I started and I love the way it turned out! I even did another one, but the bling is drying! I knew the colors I wanted, green eyes, knew I needed green and red to go with the cape! So dug around in my Christmas papers and found this argyle design that I think fits just perfect! Flowers are Prima's and ric rak, local JoAnn fabrics.

Billy

How cute is he?? He reminds me of my grandson Ethan. Ethan has a birthday in August and I was playing around with my Pink Cat Studio Stamps last night and stamped out the image and began coloring. I played around with a layout for my card, but just couldn't figure out what to do. So put it aside until this morning and it came together great! I love the bright colors and the ribbon and buttons. The ribbon & buttons are from the local craft store here in town. I had the paper for a gazillion years! He was so much fun to play with. I love those bright cards! I think he'll like it too!

Butterfly

I was cleaning my stamp room today and found this image I had colored way back when. Since it was raining out and dreary, he was nice and bright so decided to make a card. This was super simple but I love the paper! I have no idea who its by. Made my card 5x5 and put the 4 panels on the front. I love the ribbon which came from JoAnn's in the $1 bin! Thanks for stopping by!!

Inverted Scoring

This is so different for me and I just love the simplicty of cards like this. Really there is nothing simple about them! I used a set of clear flourish stamps from Inkadinkado. They are the prettest swrils I have seen yet! And I have LOTS! I themed it around my ribbon, green and brown. Dark colors for a pretty spring day! I scored the 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch square with my Scor-Pal and used the back side of it. I stamped the images with River Rock ink from SU. Used a sponge and lightly went over the white cs with chalk. I used my oval nesties for the embelishment and attached brads to each side. I used my fiskars border punch, Threading Water for the side. My green card stock has a white core which I wasn't real happy with but I needed THAT color! The Thank you is by Studio G. This was a fun card to do, something way out of the ordinary for me!!
I'm done for the day! Now its time to pick up my "creative mess"!!

Da Bug!

Have you ever been cruzing the net and looking at stamps and ran across one you HAVE GOT TO GET? You have no idea what you are going to do with it, but it just looks like plain old fun! Well this one had to be it. Many years ago, there was a "bug" in my life, a orange one. Loved that car! Wasn't my car, but someone at the time that was close to me. So seeing this was one of those "dejavu" moments in life! Coloring it was so much fun, trying to figure out the layout, not so much fun! But finally after setting it aside all day long, I think I figured it out! This stamp set is by Clear Dollar Stamps http://www.newcleardollarstamps.com/servlet/StoreFront, (my insert link does NOT WORK!!) You have to stop over and check out the cute stamps they have! and some are for $1!!

TV Lamp

Told you I liked Retro! Must be my age! I am retro! I collect TV Lamps. I don't know how many of you remember them, but the sat on top of your tv and had a dim light. They said that watching tv could hurt your eyes if there was no light. So the tv lamp was born! I have about 30, my mom has about 20. This pic is my favorite style. I have one in almost every color they came out with. The colors were limited. I have black, green and maroon. The colors also vary and there are two styles of the tulip lamp. This one having the tips of the tulip droop more than the other. My favorite is the black ones trimmed in gold. There is a pealized color in the lighter parts of these lamps. Very pretty! And I also collect planters that sat in a gold filigree stand. I love those things and think back on my mom's and gramma's. Always wondering why I didn't keep those! I have a swan planter that I won off of ebay. Looked for ever for it. My mom had one and an awful story to go with it! I must of been about 7 and babysitter had her boyfriend over and they were goofing around on the couch. I was in the chair and they threw the pillow and hit the swan that hit my moms glass globe lamp and guess what?? I GOT BLAMED FOR IT!! Broke the lamp, swan lived! I was grounded forever! And I didn't do it! I remember the swan and I wanted one so I went on a hunt for it! Found it and I make sure I keep it away from all glass things! LOL But I have my swan!! Might even be the same one! Who knows!!
Just thought I would tell ya how much I do love retro!!

Retro Dare??

After doing those 200+ Save the Dates my mojo was GONE! I tried working on a few cards but couldn't get the layout the way I wanted so gave up. Then talking about it at SCCB, Susan dared me to make a retro card! She knows how much I love retro! Well I just happened to have a stamp set from Cats Pajamma's and thought, okay Susan, your on. Well I have to admit, I had fun! Oh, and the best part is... I colored the tv with a copic! LOL This was a fun card to do. It reminds me of The Jetson's!! You've got to remember George, Jane, Judy, Elroy, Astro and Rosie the robot!! I loved that show! Once in awhile I can find a channel that has reruns and I sit there like a little kid wondering what it would be like to live in the space age!

160 Finished Save the Dates!

Well I'm getting there! I have 160 finished Save the Dates!!! 40 left to go! WOOOHOOO!! I set up a card table in the living room yesterday and went like crazy! I had everything prepared and just had to mount layers and crop my embossing cs. I was short 50, so back to the drawing board and getting those printed and mounted. I finally finished the last 50 at 11:30Pm, now just have to mount them on the back cs. Hopefully I will get those done this week. I can then attach my magnet to the back of the card and put them in the envie and call them finished!! Now just waiting to start on the invites. I have to play around for awhile with those yet. I decided I want some kind of pocket on the inside to hold the RSVP. Just have to figure out how I'm going to do this!! Oh, I did take a short break yesterday, I scrubbed the kitchen floor! LOL
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by!!

Save the Date assembly line!

This is what I've been working on this week. My playing has come to a halt! Not that this isn't playing, I'm having the time of my life with actually having a theme already to go!! There are 200 3 x 3/12 metallic cardstock pieces. Thanks to all my friends at SCCB for coming through and going that extra mile for me and sending me my metallic cardstock! I bought all our Michaels had and put out a plea for help! WOW everyone came through for me and I have enough to finish the save the dates and start on the RSVP's. Might have to get out another plea for more, I still have all those invites to do! This metallic cardstock is awesome!! So pretty! I printed out 200 Save the Date verses. Punched 800 corners, 400 strips of double sided tape, 400 punches for ribbon and cut 8 strips of ribbon, so far! I'm getting there! I am so happy with how they are turning out. I still have to mount them on my embossed background and punch out 200 magnetic cirles for the back. Then put them in the vellum envies and white envies and they'll be done. I think this is the easy part! LOL Still debating on the invites. I have to include the RSVP's in the wedding invites so might make my cards a little different than what I had planned. I went over to SCS and checked out some of their creations and have some great idea's now. But we'll see how creative I can be coming up with something!!
Thanks for stopping by and I will keep you posted on the progress!

Lost world of patterns!

I remember in high school I made most of my cloths. Thats when you could buy fabric for hardly nothing, same with a pattern! It was the cool thing to do and of course you had Home Ec! I loved to sew, and my mom could sew like everything. She made gorgeous pantsuits for work and even made her dress for my wedding. She has more patience than I did to sit down and figure out a pattern to fit you like a glove. I just couldn't sit there and sew that long. She would always end up finishing my creation. I gave up sewing when you could buy something cheaper than buying the fabric! Now most of the sewing I do, is on paper! I've had this stamp for awhile. Its by Tim Holtz and reminds me of the old Vogue patterns. Very confusing looking!
I've never used this stamp before and today was one of those crazy days I wanted to work on a card, but something way out of the ordinary for me. I had an idea what I wanted to do, so I dug out the sewing basket and found what I wanted! I've had the measuring tape ribbon for awhile. Bought if especilly for this stamp at JoAnn's. Did some stitching around it and added a few snaps! I distressed my edges of the background paper to look more like fabric edging. It turned out different! I'm not sure I should of put the ribbon on the top. But its something different for me!

Teaser....

This was a fun card to play with! This is a set I bought from PinkPetticoat called Cheekies. They are so cute!! I colored mine orange but didn't want to have the Halloween look to it. Found my DC and went from there. I tied those little bows, my fingers are way to big to be in the tying tiny bow business! But they turned out cute. I added black organza ribbon and tied a bow in the upper corner. I used some floss I had to lace the front. A little glitter pen on the lace. Have no clue who I would send this to! Maybe my mom!! She reads my blog everyday and I can see her turning red right now!! Am I right Mom??? hahhahaa!! Love you!!
Hope everyone is having a great week. Seems to be going pretty fast!

Cat...by Pink Cat Studio

This stamp is by Pink Cat Studio, cat plate 1. I love this kitty with the glasses. I think she looks smart! LOL I colored her with my prisma's. Glitzed her up a little with some jewels and flowers and ribbon. The ribbon I have had forever and have never used it, couldn't figure out what to do with it! This is why I keep everything!! You just never know when you might need something!
Thanks for looking!

Meet Billie

This is Billie by Pink Cat Studio. Isn't he cute all dressed in his Super Hero outfit! My grandson Ethan loves Super Hero's! There is a challenge at Pink Cat yahoo group to use your newest stamp set and create a card with it. I've had Billie awhile and haven't had the chance to ink him up. He was so much fun to color! The car is from a set from CTMH that I won off ebay quit awhile ago, and have never inked up. Bought it thinking of my grandson Ethan! I dug deep and found that great paper with stars on it, but have no idea who its by. I used Prisma's to color and my Copics for the flesh tone.

Spring time & flowers

I bought this stamp set a while back off ebay. Its retired, I think! It's a Happy Mother's Day set by CTMH. I fell in love with this flower! I did play with it before Mother's Day but I just couldn't get the look I wanted. Last night I stamped it out again and started coloring using my Prisma's and it's finally getting closer to the colors I want. I have a long way to go using my Prisma's and gamasol, but I'm working on it! I cut my cs 5x10 so I would have a nice square card. Worked out great since the design is large. Easy to color since the area's are so large.
Thanks for stopping by and hope everyone is having a great weekend!!

Happy Dad's Day

This is made from my large rectangle nesties. I had to try out a small card made with the large one. I found a blog where someone had done this and it was so cute! The image if from PinkPetticoat. I used my sizzix dies to cut the top border. The card was suppose to open from the right side, but the image was to large to actually make it look like it fit! So I just turned the card. These would make the cutest gift cards for a package! Have to work on that!

Da Fish...

Here is a fishy by PinkPetticoat. Very simple but I really like it. The Dew Drops in the corner up there, notice how the corner one is a different looking color? All 3 are turquoise. What happend was I was going to put a ribbon up there and punched two holes in the card. I didn't care for it so I was going to just put the dew drops over it. Well the dew drops and the holes were the same size so I took two tiny pieces of cardstock and covered them up, and glued the dew drops on to those. With the blue cardstock background, they really show their true color, the other one is just put directly on the brown cs. It really looks dirty. I will have to remember to do that in the future. I guess one dirty drop is okay, for now! I colored the fishy with my watercolor pencils and blended the colors with my blending pen. I like how the colors have that rainbow look.

Your Just Purrfect...

This is by PinkPetticoat. I thought I would brighten it up a little instead of my black and white/polka dots!! This one is nice and bright. I just think this kitty is so cute! Cats are not allowed in my house, even though I love them! I don't think Jefferson or Oliver would appreciate having to put up with a kitty! I made the cat because I seen the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life! A couple of weeks ago Joel and I went up to my moms. We are about 5 miles out of town on a blacktop road heading for the freeway. We see something in the road doing circles and lost looking! For the life of us, we could not figure out what it was, the strangest looking thing ever! I told Joel to slow down and when we were closer, I asked him, WHAT IS IT??? We had to go around it, it was doing circle in the road and totally lost! He said, Its a cat with a bag on its head!! We started laughing and I made him pull off the road and I was running back to this poor cat in the middle of a main road, traffic coming, I'm waving my arms and pointing at the cat so it dosen't get hit, and I get up to the cat, saying kitty kitty kitty. He stops! I sneak up on him and pull the bag off his head and he ran like a rabbit! He had a potatoe chip bag, one of those from a vending machine stuck on his head! LOL Poor little guy!! So please, don't throw your chip bags or any bags out of your car window!! I feel good, I saved a cat! So this is in honor of the kitty with the potatoe chip bag on his head, Now he can see the flowers and bright colors, once again!!!

Another!!

Okay what can I tell you! Love black and white and dots! There is a challenge on PinkPetticoat and I'm debating if I want to play! I made this up with "dots" in mind but it needs something more, but I haven't figured it out yet. The background dots, purse and shoes are PinkPetticoat. The punches are Marvy Mega punch, big scalloped circle and SU scallope punch for the smaller one. Fiskars border punch on the bottom. I dotted up the purse and shoes with my red glaze pen. It just needs more and I don't know what it is!! I have to think!!

Love Black and White

Well by now I'm sure everyone knows how much I love black and white. I was blog hopping last night and went to PinkPetticoat and clicked on Liz's blog. So I dug out my cd with all her designs, yes I love her designs and have most of them, and found a background paper and the dress and printed those out on my printer. I used Martha Stewart border punch for the decorative border, and ribbon is from Stamping Bella. My card is 5x5. I love the way it turned out. Looks crisp and clean. I think that is how I see black and white, simple. I could add a little bling to the necklace, maybe on another one!
Hope everyone is having a great week and the sun is shining!

Fun Fold Card

This is called a Fun Fold Card that I found on youtube. My folding wasn't the greatest for the first time, but I love the idea of this card. It tucks all nice and neat into a almost sqaure! I leave the insides blank until I ready to use my cards and then put my sentiment in them. I used ribbon and wrapped it around the card, tucking the ends in under the bottom diamond on the front of the card. Used my scallop punch and the stamp is from Studio G. Turned out cute, not hard to do, some scoring involved, but of course with the Scor-Pal, thats a cinch!
Thanks for stopping by!

Diamond Fold Card...

This is a Diamond Fold card that I found the link to off of one of my groups. Its on youtube...
Its super simple and so much fun to make! I love how it goes together. I used a heavy cardstock to make mine. It was pretty stiff but came out great. I used my scor-pal to scor my folds. This would make a great birthday card for anyone!! Or just a anytime card! I took 3 different pics of it so you could see exactly what it looks like from a few angles.
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Tiny Little Purse!

I found this cute little tut for this purse at Papertrey Ink. I love her blog and she is so creative. With m getting married my mind is racing 100 mph even though its a year away. I thought these would be cute to give to the Maid of Honor and Bridesmaid each with a Life Saver inside! Already they have been such a great help to m and having the time of thier lives!! I won't use these colors, but had some cardstock from another "bright idea" LOL laying around. Super simple to make. I used my oval large nestibilities for the purse base. The only thing I did find out was when you make the inside you have to reverse your cardstock, otherwise it does not line up properly. Super cute and fast and easy!! My kind of project!!
Well happy Monday to everyone!

Save the Date

Well one down and 179 to go!! This is what the Save the Date's will look like. This is the color m is going with and I found a matallic cover paper yesterday at Michaels. Its gorgeous. I had the 180 invites cut, 180 embossed and 180 verses printed out. I bought white organza ribbon with silver edging for the bows. This one does not have a back on it yet, and those aren't cut! Such a time consuming job! LOL I also bought sheets of magnets to attach to the back of the card. Once my tape that I ordered from Scor-Pal gets here, it will be a assembly line! I also bought a pretty box for her to keep them in until the time to send them. I'm so happy with the way they turned out. I will show you what 180 look like when I'm done! LOL

Happy Mother's Day!!

Started out being a very uncreative day!! One went in the garbage can after I spent a couple of hours coloring! So we don't want to talk about that one! Then I started cleaning, thinking how much more fun stamping would be, so I dropped everything and started playing! Not really, I did finish with my cleaning! This is Chatty Cathy by Stamping Bella. I think she is so cute, has that fairy look to her. I just dug deep and found some left over cs and used that for my background. Last time I went to Walmart I was looking for some ric rak for my mom and ran across this pastel rainbow and just had to buy it. Didn't know if I would ever use it, but I love it on this card, pulls it together and the same colors repeated. The flowers are Prima's and I just stacked away with them. I didn't scan this one, actually learned how to take close up pics with my camera!!

I can't even scan good! LOL!! This is so lopsided looking! Well, maybe it fits the, should we say occassion? After this past weekend, all but Joel and Emily have been sick with the flu! Not the achy flu, the whole thing flu! Ugly! This is a stamp set by Clear Art Stamps. I love this set and this is the first time I'v used it. Thought if was appropriate for us sickies. I had the retro paisley paper in my stash and have been waiting for a good time to use it. The ribbon is from ebay! I won this a long time ago when I was making corker bows for my granddaughter, Mariah. I cut this card 5x10, I wanted a square card instead of the typical a-2.
This was fun, always fun to play with stamps you haven't inked yet!
Hope everyone is having a great week!

Friends are a Gift...

I made this card with a couple of stamps I bought from Loreen over at "Wish on a Scrap",(Link is on the left side of blog) you have to check her site out, just starting up and has some great deals! Also join her yahoo group for specials!!
I'm into circles! I love these flower pots by Stampendous! They are so fun to color. The sentiment came from Inkadinkado called Personal Impressions. I used my Marvy Jumbo punch for the scalloped circle and my coluzzle to cut the circles out. I still love my coluzzle!! Flowes are Prima's. I also embossed the green background with my swiss dots folder. I think this card turned out great with the spring colors~~

So true!!

I love this saying!! So true! When my kids were small everything was black and white! For example..Did you do that? YES OR NO? LOL Seems like that had to be the only thing that came out of my mouth for about 13 years! Funny how times change and life gets more color when you get older and have grandkids! How come when your grandkids do something its so cute! When your kids did the same thing, it wasn't cute at all!! I asked my son one time how old Mariah had to be to date. He told me ..
36! M, the one who never cleaned her room and now keeps a spotless house! Me, well I have to say, I miss the old days, when everything was black and white! There was never a dull moment! I miss those days!

Finally...Some Mojo!!

Don't Look MOM!!! This is my Mother's Day Card to my Mom. She is worth so much more than a card! There is not enough room on any card to tell her how special she is to me. We have been best friends as long as I can remember. She is my support system and always see's things in a bright and cheery light. I've lived by her saying..."All things Happen for a Reason" since I can remember. She is so awesome. She worked outside of the home for 40 years and raised a family. She is independent, self motivated and has the heart of GOLD. She can sew like a pro, cook like a chef, keep the cleanest house EVER! And love her family unconditionally. Beleive me, I think I gave her a few sleepless nights! She is the best gramma to Scott and M, and a great gramma to Mariah, Ethan and Reese! Who could possibly ask for more.
HAPPY MOTHERS DAY MOM!! I LOVE YOU!

Ethan & Reese

These are my two grandkids, Ethan and Reese. We were goofing around on the floor and Ethan went head to head with his little sister! Who wouldn't have fun with these two!!

What a weekend!!

I had the best weekend ever! My daughter Emily, her SO Alex and their children Ethan and Reese, me and hubby Joel all went up to my mom's this weekend! Its about a 250 mile drive from here but we had the best time. Big surprise for my daughter Emily, aka m, she got her diamond! It was a total shock to her, she knew she was getting it, just not when she was getting it!! Alex had some slides he had put on a DVD and on the last two, one said Emily, the next one said "WIll you marry me"! Threw her totally off and we were all crying and excited for them both! I knew about his plan all along and so I went along with everything he asked and it worked perfect! My DD is now sporting a gorgeous engagement ring! Then of course the grandkids were there and they are so fun. Today was just perfect out and we all went for a walk looking for agates! Ethan, who is 5, was really into finding agates. I helped him out just alittle by going in the shop and finding a coffee can full of them! Asked great gramma's permission if he could have them, and of course she is as soft as me, got his agates! Reese enjoyed being outside in the sunshine, really probably one of the first times she has actually been out in her life! She was born in Oct! She had so much fun. She is such a good baby! Smiles all the time. So what better way to spend a gorgeous weekend??
I am going to be making all of m's Save the Date cards and invitations for her wedding! I had 6 cards made up for her and Alex to choose from. They choose 3 out of the 6 and so its a go! So I will be busy creating for awhile! I made 2 of the save the date and they picked the one they liked. When I get going, I will post them so you can see!
Hope everyone had a great weekend!!
